Belinda will be taking on the role of as Velma Von Tussle in the West End Musical Hairspray. The show, based on a 1988 film by US director John Waters, tells the story of an overweight young girl growing up in 1960s Baltimore.
The West End production, which opened in October 2007, won four Olivier awards in March 2008, including best musical. Belinda will be in the show from October 26, 2009 to January 28, 2010.
Note: Belinda Won't be performing on Sundays or Mondays.

The special edition will include the original album digitally remastered, five remixes of some of her classic tracks, more images & for the first time her 1988 concert good heavens will be released on the accompanying bonus DVD!
Presented in a 6-panel digipak picture sleeve complete with photos and visuals not included in the original release as well as liner notes including an interview from Belinda herself.

Belinda has said in recent interviews that she is working on a new Album, the album will be in English unlike the critically acclaimed voila. Belinda has hinted that the album may have an Indian influence. Belinda has said that she has been working with well known writer/producer Rick Knowels who has produced the albums Heaven on earth & Runaway horses.
